Bundle Up in a Puffer This Winter!

Eechhh! We just had our first snow of the winter–it was only a light dusting, but it was topped with some frozen rain! I’m not a fan of winter, but it comes with living in New England. So I guess it’s time to bundle up! But in what?

I’m considering a puffer jacket!

I know! I can already hear the chorus of “Ugh!” from some of you! Maybe you’re thinking puffers are best left back in the ’80s when your moms and dads were wearing them. But check out some celebs trending the puffer and tell me they don’t look cute.

So, what do you think? If you’d like to try the puffer look this winter, check out the selection below.

The following two puffers from Old Navy feature faux-fur trimmed hoods

I love this mid-length puffer from Kohl’s

Old Navy does a longer version well

Oh, and for those of you who like the Katie Holmes look, here are some faux-fur earmuffs from Kohl’s!

From pants to skirts, I think that the puffer coat completes any modest ensemble you put together.

What do you think, girls? Will you be bundling up in a puffer coat this winter, or do you think the style’s best left in the ’80s?

😛 I’ve never liked puffer coats.

I used to not like them, but now I view one and tell myself, “they really aren’t that bad.”

Oh no, the pugger coats are definitely not my style. I personally think the puffer coats look silly, but to each her own I guess! I’ve grown up wearing puffy snow coats for my every day winter wear ever since I was little and for the past couples years I’ve been on the search for a long, colorful wool coat. No more puffy for me! I finally found the perfect winter coat in blue from Kohl’s and I love it! It’s something I can wear dressy clothes with or wear to and from school and I love how it fits, how it’s comfortable in cold weather, and how sophisticated it looks! This is my kind of coat 😉

@T.M. Gaouette Also the store delias has some really cute coats you should check out, they’re pretty affordable:) I really like the store modcloth.com also, they have really girly/retro stuff, their coats are cute. I really love the puffer coats you picked out:)

There is nothing wrong with a puffer coat at all,in my opnion. As long as it’s not too big,to the point where you look like the Marshmellow Man from Ghostbusters, lol. 🙂

I’m not a big fan of puffers or huge jackets in general since I have a very tiny figure (I look like I’m being swallowed in baggy clothing!), but I like the old navy one. The belt adds shape and style to it, since I like clothing to be a little tailored.

Nope. Definitely not a fan. I’ll just stick with a pea coat. 😉

Yeah I love pea coats… unless they’re weird ones like some I’ve seen this year

I like puffer coats, as long as they aren’t the shiny material like some of the ones above

I prefer a slinky trench coat. Much more appealing than looking like a multicolored marshmallow. :p

I actually really like the one from Kohl’s, although I’m really not crazy about big winter coats. We don’t get much use out of them where I live… =( We are lucky to get one snow a year… I have a really nice Banana Republic coat that’s mid-length like the Puffer coat I mentioned liking, and it’s a sort of wool blend or something like that. I also have one from Saks Fifth Avenue that has the gold military-ish buttons and collar, if you know what I mean.

Not bad…not bat at all. The puffer is probably one of the few clothing pieces from the 80’s that I like. I would get one, including those cool earmuffs, but I already have the military styled winter coat. I’ll definitely get some earmuffs though, considering I like to tie my hair up! 🙂
