Casting Crowns’ “Courageous” is a Hit Song You Will Love!

For those of you who love the best-selling Christian rock group Casting Crowns, you’re in for a treat!

After much anticipation, the group released its newest studio album, “Come to the Well,” on October 18.

I’m guessing that many of you got a taste of the album from its first single, “Courageous,” which is also the theme song for the movie “Courageous.” Well, it is currently No. 3 on the Billboard for Christian songs!

To add to its blessings, Casting Crowns also has been nominated for a 2011 American Music Award for “Favorite Artist” under the Contemporary Inspirational Music category. The group already has one AMA under its belt, in addition to other prestigious awards including 14 GMA Dove Awards and three Grammys.

If you are a Casting Crowns fan, visit ABC’s American Music Award site and vote for the group! I also will keep you posted on the AMAs as we get closer to them in November.

For those of you who are not familiar with the group, but who are looking for great Christian bands to listen to, here’s a little background information. Casting Crowns was formed by lead vocalist and youth pastor Mark Hall in 1999. The group has since evolved, and with songs like “Who Am I,”“I Know You’re There,” and “Voice of Truth” (from the movie “Facing the Giants”), it’s presently a huge voice in the world of Christian music.

Casting Crowns’ last studio album, “Until the Whole World Hears,” was released in 2009. Needless to say, “Come to the Well” has been long anticipated.

2011 is definitely a blessed year for Casting Crowns and its fans, and I pray for its continued success as it glorifies God through the amazing gift of music.

    This is probably the best song ever. So glad you have it up!!! The first time I listened to it I learned all the words!!! :)

    Courageous is a fantastic song, and the whole album is stuffed with great songs! I know Mark Hall, the lead singer, and several other members, they live out what the sing!

    Casting Crowns is so awesome! I am so glad they have used their gifts for God’s glory! Their music is really fun for dancing to.
