Ok, so I’m a senior in high school and ever since my sophomore year my parents repeatedly wanted me to choose between either doing law or becoming a doctor. Interestingly enough I went to a church where they prophesy and a prophet told me that I should be a doctor. I was ecstatic at first, but then I realized the reality of the situation.. I was failing at math and all my sciences. I then felt no motivation to do them since those were the only classes I was struggling with and I’m honestly bored with any math or science classes. If God would want me to be a doctor why do I suck at math, why do I hate it so much?? How am I supposed to get into a science course in university if I’m getting D’s?? Anyways, I wanted to research law to see if it’s what I’m interested in and so far I like it! You get to help people and it’s challenging as well! I don’t know what to do though I’m so confused..

Hey girl. All I can really say is that you are not alone on this boat. I’m a Junior/ Senior and my parents want me to become an orthodontist. My problem, similar to yours, is that I’m failing my math class….and maybe biology. The only advice I can give to you (and something I should’ve done earlier) is to get tutoring. Find a way to make your least favorite subjects fun, like host a study “party” (with a little less party). See if you can get your friends involved with helping you out.

God’s plan for you is to be wherever you are. It’s weird to think of, but we’re always worried that we’re going to fail or break God’s plan, but God can use ANY situation and everything that happens is part of His plan. So while prophesies are sometimes true, be SUPER DUPER careful what you believe as “from God”.
