i started learning to accept my body and become comfortable in my skin fairly recently, and as a result my fashion sense and how i dress myself has changed quite a lot. i now dress in a way that other girls would consider promiscuous and usually i wouldn’t care because i know that your intentions are the deciding factor in whether or not something like this is sinful and i dress 100% for me and me only. i often leave the house with a lot of exposed skin but only because i am proud of the hard wrk i have put into my body through sports, etc and i feel beautiful and confident, however i receive attention from boys and i know it is because of the way i dress. my parents are comfortable with my clothes (they are both christian) but i dont have many christian friends that can give me advice on this. usually if i put something on and i feel in any way ashamed i wont wear it, but should i apply any other standards to my clothign and how i present myself to the world?

Go for it! Makes you happy then do it! I see no problem with it!

I think you are doing the right thing. If you feel comfortable, you wear it and if you don’t feel comfortable, you don’t and that’s the way it should be 🙂 . If you are attracting attention and that makes you uncomfortable, then sadly there are only two options: deal with it, or cover up more. It’s really sexist and sad but that’s the way it is. Just keep doing what you are doing and be you 🙂

It’s so refreshing to hear a girl say she likes the way she looks! *applauds* I think you should wear what you want.
From what I understand from reading the bible, the “modesty” it speaks of is really more in the form of “don’t spend an excessive amount of money on clothing” not “Don’t show your abs” 🙂

Yayyy! I am SO happy that you feel confident in the way you look! That is SO refreshing! I, too, have lost weight recently, and I have felt an urge to show it off. But you need to remember to STAY CLASSY!! Just like guys wearing baggy pants is trashy (in my opinion) girls wearing extremely revealing cloths is equally trashy. Your shorts don’t need to be at the tips of your fingers, but at the same time they shouldn’t show off half your butt. Your tops don’t have to go over your collar bone, but at the same time they shouldn’t make your breasts look like they may pop out at any time. There is a classy in between that I believe is important for Christians to maintain. The reason for that is because we represent God when we go out into the world. So you need to garner respect, not particularly by covering up every inch of your body, but also not by revealing every inch.
Your confidence rocks girl!!!

Some outfits can show of your figure without exposing a lot of skin. To be honest with you, it’s not really your body it’s Gods body and you should dress it so it honors him. I’m not trying to hate on you or anything it’s the hard truth. In fact I myself am trying to loss weight too, just remember to try and keep it classy.
