I just read an article about an archeology team discovering the ruins of the city of Sodom. Cool right? But at the end of the article, the writer mentions how atheists previously thought Sodom was a myth, and this was a huge blow to them. It ended with a flippant “atheists 0, believers 1”.
The last part just felt kind of obnoxious to me, but I see stuff like that ALL THE TIME! Any time something is politically or religiously in Christians’ favor, there’ll be an article that sounds like we just won a battle against the atheists.
I’m just kind of like…we’re not fighting atheists or unbelievers here, and making someone–anyone feel stupid isn’t really helpful In sharing God’s love.

YES. I recently heard a pastor teach an Us vs Them message, and I was like???? I thought it wasn’t flesh and blood that we’re fighting

Yes! That’s just rude. The rest of the article sounds good, but not that last bit. I get that people get excited when they’re right, but there’s a proper way to and a rude way to express that.
