Hey everybody! Soooo, I’ve been looking for new T.V shows to watch, and I’m wondering if Doctor Who be Ok. A bunch of people I know watch it, and they say it’s really good. I’m a young teen, and I’m just wondering if, from a Christian perspective, if it’s appropriate. Like, what age should I start watching it, what to watch out for, stuff like that.
Thanks a lot!!
God bless!!

Its completely appropriate. And when it comes to what I’m watching I’m pretty careful.
The Doctor always believes everyone deserves a second chance, even the baddest of the bad he feels deserves a second shot.

Though there are a couple of scenes that could be a but suggestive like:
Battle of gallieffray, there is fire and people screaming though we don’t see anyone die.
There is this one scene with Jack Hardness to where he is nude (though they block it out with an object) and he also flirts with everyone (and by everyone I mean everyone.) So Jack can be a bit suggestive.
And there’s some kissing scenes.

Though the violence wise is very low. The show gives off a vibe of good, how The Doctor will do good no matter what, and his unbreakable loyalty to everyone.

Language wise, as far as I can think of there isn’t any.

I’d suggest the show to anyone twelve and up. And to anyone who enjoys bits of sci-fy and comedy.

I hope I helped!

Hi, TolkienFreak19! (Okay, first of all, I love your username!) About Doctor Who…I really enjoy it. I think ArtiseyDisneyGal did a pretty good job covering what its about. You probably also will want to know that there are several episodes where there is a gay character or couple. There’s nothing explicit or inappropriate, but it is mentioned and they will openly say they’re married. However, overall, it is a very good show and I think you’ll love it! It can be an emotional journey, though… you have been warned! 😉

Doctor Who is groovy, let’s just get that straight. It’s addicting and hilarious and adventurous. I recommend it to anyone of any age!

I agree with @ArtiseyDisneyGal on everything she pointed out. However, I have a few to add that I noticed personally.

Their views are very unChristian and more modern. They make references to the idea of evolution– humans evolving from apes and the sorts– and has often made it seem like there isn’t a one, true God– which is what we, as Christians, believe. Their theology is a bit off.

All in all, however, it’s a great television show!
