I have been praying and praying and getting no where. God just doesn’t seem to care about me. I know some of you are going to say to go to church but that’s easier said then done. My parents have to talk the youth leader first because of my circumstances and life keeps getting in the way of that. You’ll say read your Bible been doing that stopped because life got in the way. I got sick and now that I feel better we have too much going on. I don’t want to loose my faith please help.

It’s ok! If you don’t mind my asking, what are you praying about?
I’ve found that sometimes I’ll be praying about something when in reality God has already given me everything I need to succeed in that area–whether through intellect, a friend or hard work.
God definitely loves and cares about you, and while reading the Bible and going to church is good, it’s not a requirement for God to answer your prayers 🙂 If you read the Bible, sometimes it’s easier to understand who God is, but God is not looking down on you like, “Oh, FaithPrincess has not read X amount of chapters, can’t answer her prayer yet!” God is not like that 🙂

Of course he cares. In fact, going through trials and tribulations is HIs way of making you stronger and more Christlike. It is your choice to be bitter about hardship,or to trust God.:)

I also agree with Adventuregirl:if you have been unable to read your Bible, it doesn’t mean you’ve lost your faith.Reading the Bible should not be just a mandatory task, (if I don’t do this my prayers won’t get answered!) it should be something that comes from a heart that loves God and wants to know more about Him.

Thanks you guys reading your replies made me feel better. I’ve been mostly praying about having a relationship with my dad. I want to be closer to him but we’re so different I’m a girly girl and like drawing fashion designs and he likes fishing and things like that. Plus he works and has a lot going on because right now we have a lot to get done around the house and such.

How about you talk to your dad about wanting to be closer to him? I’m sure he’d love to hear how you feel, and just because you have different interests doesn’t mean you can’t choose something to do together 😉 As for the praying, keep doing that too..you’re being heard even if it doesn’t seem like it! Seems to me Theteenfashionista and AdventureGirl have already given you good advice on that 😉

Ahhh I see. Well, if you want to know a person and love them, sometimes it does mean going out of your comfort zone a little 🙂 But good luck!

Ohhhhhh girl. Ok.
I completely understand. Like @Teenfashionista said, sometimes you do have to go a little out of your comfort zone.
The easiest thing to do is to have lunch or dinner together, because no matter what you like to do, everyone eats lol 😛 Just tell him you’d like to go out to eat sometime within the next week and then you guys can chat. Being close to your dad doesn’t have to come from sharing interests, you could just share what’s going on in your life.
I know it seems really awkward, but trust me when I say your dad is a person with feelings too and will absolutely love it when he hears that his daughter wants to spend time with him. Let us know how it goes!
