So, there’s this guy, lets call him X,in my church group. He’s cute and funny and sweet and charming and a total southern gentleman. However, he has a girlfriend. But I can’t tell if hes flirting with me or if he’s just that nice of a guy. I kinda like him. I’m not that kinda girl to go break up a relationship but I like him. What should I do? (Note: despite being almost 24, I don’t have much experience in the guy/dating field)

Girl, my heart goes out to you but my best (and only) advice is to stay away!!! I’m not saying avoid eye contact and completely shut yourself off from him because he might take note and ask why but I would not really think about him romantically, at least while he’s in a relationship. That’s not good for you, or for him, or for his girlfriend for that matter.

This is one of the worst situations to be in. I have been there before. My advice would be to befriend both of them if possible. If you like this guy but he is in a relationship, you have to be respectful of them together. Just think… if/when they break up, do you want him to look at you as the girl who broke up his relationship, or as the girl who was a friend. It is so hard to put aside feelings for a guy, but in the end it may be worth it if that’s what God has planned.

Be nice with him and keep your relation as it is. Its your crush and its not possible every time to be in relation with your crush.
