I’ve always hard time getting interest in certain parts of my Bible. I don’t want to sound disrespectful when I say this, but some of them are boring. When I say that, I’m referring to some of the OT books like, Numbers, Leviticus and Exodus. I don’t want to read only the books in the Bible in find interesting, but I don’t know how to get more interested..

One thing that I’ve been trying to do while reading those parts (and I kind of agree with you on it being a bit tedious) is see the connection between what’s happening in the story and my life right now, what is God trying to tell me through those scriptures? and also I keep in mind that these are the laws (in numbers and leviticus) the pharisees were talking about every time they tried to trip up Jesus with their questions. so when you pay attention to those laws you’ll understand what they were talking about….

I also struggle a little with this, but I’m starting to find that it helps if I read and give myself a “task,” such as trying to make my own timeline or writing out the geneologies. This doesn’t work in some areas of the Bible, but it helps me read closer, helping me better understand and remember the text a little better.
