Soo I never wear makeup. Like ever, except for special occasions. But for Christmas I got a lot of nice makeup stuff and I know how to use it and such, but I need advice. I’m gonna be hanging with my crush in a few days and I want to look pretty, but I have no idea how to really put together a makeup look (any time I wear it, it’s either really natural-looking or someone else does it for me). I have golden blonde hair and green eyes and will be wearing a bright turquoise sweater if that helps with colors. Idk, I just want that look that says “hey, this is more than natural makeup but is not all “let’s go clubbing” or “I’m at the prom” makeup.” So anyone have any pointers?

I have a few pointers, but look up a Michelle Phan video on Youtube. She’s the one who taught me (after my mom) everything else I know and she’s like DABOMB.COM when it comes to make-up.

One thing to remember: whatever you put on your skin, your skin will eat. Watch what you put on. Also, don’t sleep with make-up on.

^^^^^ Yeah, Michelle Phan is DA BEST. I would recommend to test everything on your wrist first just to make sure you’re not allergic 😉 . Have a good day!

If you have a clinique counter at your local mall I would suggest going there! they will do your make up for you for free (thats how they sell their product) and they will help you choose what colors and tones are best for your skin. clinique is also a water based brand so it won’t cause acne. However, clinique make up is kind of expensive since its such a high quality product.
For a good natural make up routine I like to go with your basic foundation and powder, a light pink blush, and golden, pale, and light brown eye shadows. you can finish off with a brown eyeliner and a light coating of mascara. Chapstick or a light shade of lipstick/gloss is recommended 🙂

I have green eyes too, and if you really want to make them pop, use subtle purple, pink, or even gold eyeshadows. I also put brown pencil eyeliner on the outer half of my upper lid to make my eyes look bigger and my eyelashes fuller. It looks natural and feminine at the same time!

Hey, what’s wrong with natural makeup? I think that your crush will appreciate seeing you as you are rather than un-natural looking makeup anyways. And by natural I just mean don’t try too hard or go overboard with weird or dark colors or just too much makeup in general. Use some powder and foundation (if you need it) and maybe even a bit of blush on your cheeks, light eyeshadow that goes with your green eyes (what Jesusgirl99 said for colors is PERFECT for your eye color) and some mascara and lip gloss will do just fine. Just remember that no matter what kind of makeup you decide to go with, wear what makes you FEEL beautiful, but at the same time, know that you don’t need to wear makeup to impress your crush. Look nice of course! But don’t think that makeup is going to determine whether or not you are beautiful 🙂
