Well, I had my surgery this morning. This may come out a little groggy cause I’m still drugged up on anesthesia from it. But anyways, it went something like this…

We got up at 2:00 this morning and started driving around 3:30. We got to the hospital and went through a bunch of stuff while we were waiting for me to go back, (The wait was about an hour.) They took me back around 7:45 and started up the skittles flavored laughing gas on me. (That stuff smelled like they had put WAY too much skittles in it.) A few breaths into it I started feeling all tingly and dizzy, and that got really confusing and started questioning myself about who I was and where I was. (Wow, that laughing gas…. Great stuff huh?) Finally I was just about ready to ask the nurse who I was when she started up the anesthesia warning me that it smelled like finger nail polish and I might want to breath through my mouth. (I was like, “Why the crap do they call this laughing gas? I can’t figure out who I am and I want to cry.”) Then the finger nail polish smell hit, and my first impulse was to breath through my mouth, but then it occurred to me that if I didn’t want to breath it through my nose why on earth would I want the stuff in my mouth. So I just clenched my fists and dealt with it. Finally I closed my eyes and went to sleep.

Okay, wake up time. I opened my eyes and saw that I was in a room with some nurses. I took one look around, decided I still must be dreaming, and went back to sleep. Wake me up again, “No, no, this is a dream. I don’t want to live in a dream.” Go back to sleep. Finally I was forced to get up because the nurse wanted to take some sticky stuff off of me, so I sat there arguing with myself over whether or not this was a dream. Finally I gave up and closed my eyes again, only to open them back in my hospital room with my family. They told me to do some stuff, and brought some Sprite which I forced down, and finally took my IV out and sent me on my way back home.

I slept most of the car ride, and only woke up once we got home cause I heard someone mention mail, and I was all like “Oh, maybe the books I ordered the other day came!!!!” (They didn’t)
And so far the rest of my day has been spent sleeping, talking to myself about my books, And talking to my Mom about the surgery. I have been diagnosed with a colon disease, (I will have it my whole life. No cure, so I just gotta change my diet around and a whole bunch of junk.) Very low vitamin D, and several other things. Plus they did a whole bunch of biopsies. (Still waiting on results for that.)

Anyways, sorry this is so long. Just thought I would give a little update on things, and hopefully I will be back on here before long. (Not sure if Jackelyn is still on here or she has already left for good. I think she is doing some stuff with her family, so she may or may not come back.)

And most of the day, has been spent hoping for my books to come. At 2:00 this morning I was dancing around my room thinking about my books. xD And when I got home and ate some soup I came to two conclusions,
One, I like Ritz crackers better than Saltines.
And two, I hope my books come.

Yay Gypsystorm! You’re back! 😀 Was the surgery for your colon disease? I’m glad you’re ok! What books are you waiting on?

I had a colonoscopy and something else that I can’t remember the name of done. They were trying to figure out what was going on, and causing all these weird health issues I have been having recently. They found the colon disease, and also a lot of polyps that they took out. We are still waiting for results from the polyps, hopefully nothing major there. But because they found polyps, that means I will have to have a colonoscopy done every 3 years or so from now on in case I were to get some cancer polyps. (Yay me :P) I also have very low vitamin D.

And, I ordered some great classics off of the Barnes & Nobles website yesterday. They are collectors addition so really nice quality books. I got The Arabian Nights, Charles Dickens: 5 novels, Jane Austen: 7 novels, and Jules Vernes: 7 novels. Big thick books that ought to last me until Christmas. 😀
