I’m going to be starting high school in the fall and am terrified. I was just recently saved and am still learning how to honor God and learning about Jesus. I go to a public school where all you hear about is sex, gossip, who did what, and a whole slur of over ungodly things. I don’t want to get sucked into all drama and just focus on growing my faith. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey! I just graduated HIgh School!! You know hearing about gossip, sex, and all that aren’t bad things. It’s what you do with them. With gossip I suggest you walk away and say you aren’t comfortable talking about other people.

Hey I’m going to be a sophomore so I was pretty much in your boat last year! I promise it’s not all as scary as it seems! I have found that if you are bothered by something that someone is saying (whether to you or not) in most cases if you do so much as give them a look, or even just stare into their eyes they will get the message that you’re not okay with it. It also helps to turn to them and ask them why they would be talking about that in the first place. As for being a new Christian I wish I could say it all gets easier, but it’s hard no matter how long you have been a believer. Hope this helps, darling! Much love!
