How do I deal with all these problems, and any advice for transitioning from homeschool to public school?

First of all, if you can, talk to your parents and see why they wouldn’t want you in a public school and find a way to address them (possibly pointing out how well your friend is doing in high school). Also, point out your desire to get good grades at the public school in order to get into a good college.
In addition, find out what school district you’re in and, if you’re not in the district of the school you want to go to, look into open enrollment. Different states have different rules about when and how you can do it. In some states, there is only a limited window for when you can do it, if you want to attend that district’s school. Without open enrolling, generally speaking, you’re restricted to the high school in the district where you live.
