Hey cool people!

Here we can debate homosexuality and Christianity w/o taking away from Juanita’s original thread. Happy arguing! 🙂

@teenfashionista I don’t wanna argue on Jaunita’s thread, but I have some questions for you:
1. Would you ever apply the “homosexual attraction is just God’s call for friendship” idea to a heterosexual situation? I.e., if two single people of different genders were mutually romantically attracted to each other, would you ever say that that was God’s call for them to be friends and nothing more than friends?
2. So, no one can be Christian unless they follow Jesus’ commandments perfectly, according to your interpretation of the Bible?

1. It could. Not everyone is meant to be married 🙂
2. Yes. however people do still sin, and God has forgiveness for that.

1. So how do you distinguish between the two? And why would God choose to give two people romantic attraction toward each other if he didn’t want them to act on it?
2. But the very idea of sin sorta contradicts your requirements for being a Christian, doesn’t it? Because your definition should require that anyone who sins is automatically not a Christian–at least until they repent, right?
