I of course am a firm believer that we should all be kind to one another, and love others as Christ has loved us, and forgive as he as forgiven us. As I am growing into my young adult years, I am a little bit concerned. I don’t want to be taken advantage of. If I am too kind, and too forgiving, I am afraid people will use me. I don’t believe that everyone will have the same heart that I do. Don’t you think that there is a line between kind, and being a pushover who everyone just uses, and steps on? How can I practice compassion, and love, without overdoing it?
I can relate to this more than anyone. 🙂 I totally understand. Being kind can be hard because often times people mistake kindness for weakness. Often times because we have a kind and tenderhearted spirit it can be hard to say no to certain people. The best thing for you to do is just say no. If someone asks you to do something that you are uncomfortable with just say no.
