Hello PI girls!! Recently I have began to doubt whether mom and dad are really my parents. Before I ask them about it I just really want to make sure so that I don’t make a fool of myself.
1) I have NEVER seen any baby pictures of myself, but have seen all of my siblings baby pictures.
I think I might ask my mom if she has any of my baby pictures that she can show me. What do you guys think? Is there any online sources I may be able to use?

Yes, definitely ask your mom for baby pictures.
Honestly, none of those are reasons to think you’re adopted though. I have a very different nose than my parents, and my sister looks very unlike my mom or my siblings. You’re “Spanish” look could very well be the American Indian in you. It really depends on the genes you get. Some people look like their parents, some their grandparents, some their aunts/uncles, and some are just unique.
People change. You’re mom may have held a different view on vaccines when you were a baby. If not, ask why you were vaccinated.
I wondered if I was adopted once too, and I asked my mom and she said absolutely not, she was taking all the credit for carrying me around for 9 months! XD lol

^^ Okay thanks. I will definitely ask. I am glad to know that your mom handled the question well.

I don’t necessarily think you’re adopted just because of these things. Have you ever seen your birth certificate? That would have the information on it. If you’re really curious, I would just ask your mom.

I am adopted and can see y u would curious but I don’t think so. ask your mom for pictures and if she doesn’t have any ask for birth certificate and if she cant find it or something just ask her! you may seem kinds weird for asking but its better to know right!

I looked up what the law in my state dictated as the proper birth certificate for an adopted child would look like, and they said it would be the same. The only things that would change were the new parents name and some other small things. Then the state keeps the original.

I see what you guys mean. I probably am not adopted. It just seems a little strange that I am so different from my family members.

I totally understand! I think a lot of people wonder at some point in their life if they are adopted.
Seriously though, I would be very surprised if your parents didn’t tell you in the beginning if you WERE adopted, it’s not something that needs to be hidden! 🙂

Yeah, I agree! Once after watching October Baby they mentioned that it was probably a good idea NOT to tell your kid that they were adopted until they were 18. That is another little thing that makes me concerned. It is probably just a coincidence, though. I am going to go look up some old photos on my parents computer, and see if they have any pictures there. If not than I will nonchalantly ask them over lunch if they have any old photos.

Sounds like a good idea! And that’s weird, I wonder why??! I’d want to know ASAP if I were adopted! And if I adopted a child I’d want them to know. I loved October Baby 🙂
