I really want to change my life around, i really want to begin to trust God more, and talk to him a lot more than i do, i also need to start reading my bible again, where is a good place to start reading? i’ve read through Genesis and Matthew

I would really like some support from friends during this time, i know it won’t be easy on me but going through life as depressed as i am, and looking down on things like i do isn’t healthy for me or anyone

Prayers would be apprieciated 🙂

Hey! Try reading any of Paul’s letters. They are all great!

Proverbs is good! It’s chocked full of wisdom for every day life! :)) I’d read Ephesians too, it’s a great reminder of who we are in Christ.

Going with what Adventure said, I also think it would be good to read Ephesians.

Psalms is one of my personal favorites. The chapters are short and encouraging! 🙂

I’ve found that using a Devotional or a study guide helps me the most. It’s just nice to see a different perspective on the Bible, and it’s also a nice little head start for yourself. 😛 Besides that, I really like James a lot.

I love the book of James and am currently reading through it. My problem is I always confuse myself because I can’t ever just stay in one book of the Bible at a time. 😮

Hi Dawn! This is Elizabeth, we chatted some in the chat room. I just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I’ve read some things you’ve posted in the message board. God loves you, and he has a plan for your life. You need to seek Him until you find Him. He can change your life around and give you a mighty testimony that you can share with others that perhaps have gone through similar things. He can take away all the depression, pain and sorrow and give you His joy and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. God made you and He loves you just as much as all of His other children. Don’t believe the lie from satan that you are not loved or wanted. That is a lie, and satan is the father of lies. Don’t give ear to what the devil wants you to believe.

I would recommend that you tune into a church called Times Square Church. You can watch them online, and they are in New York City. They have a live prayer meeting every Tues. night at 7:00 EST. It is a very powerful ministry, and there are people tuning into this prayer meeting from all over the world. You can also submit a prayer request online. They also have their Sunday services online that you can tune into. Their are many testimonies of answered prayer requests and changed lives in this ministry. The website is: http://www.tscnyc.org and also http://www.itstimetopray.org The prayer meeting is every Tuesday at 7:00-8:30 PM EST. Hope this ministers to you!

God Bless you!

Elizabeth ~
