I’ve wondered about this for a long time. My parents say it is, but I haven’t found anything in the Bible that says it is. I would really like to know if it was and if there is any scripture saying so.

It is soo not a sin. There is nowhere in the bible that it says this. It is just an prejudiced idea that some parts of society has tried to use Christianity to justify. I’m not trying to disrespect your parents or their beliefs, but Jesus encouraged love, not division or discrimination.

There’s nothing in the Bible saying it is a sin, so it is not a sin.

In the old testament, God didn’t want the Isrealites to marry the other nationalities in the land they were living because those nations worshiped other gods and would lead the Isrealites astray (and the Irealites married other nationalities anywho, and worshiped their spouse’s gods).
The main issue there is idolatry.
Ruth and Boaz is an example of an interracial marriage in the Bible. This relationship was fine and dandy because both people in the relationship worshiped God. It wasn’t a matter of idolatry. (And, Ruth and Boaz are ancestors of Jesus.)
So, I would say that if a relationship (with someone of ANY race) is causing you to commit a form of idolatry, then yes, that relationship would be a sin.
But, no, just dating someone of another race isn’t a sin in and of itself.
