Heya ladies!
So recently on Pinterest I found some beautifully wonderful journal ideas– and so tonight, I bought 3 journals (roughly $10.00 total)
One journal will consist solely of prayers, and possibly Bible verses (still on the fence about that)
Another journal will consist of letters to my future husband (if God wills it)
And the last journal will consist of thoughts/questions for God, basically a documentation of my personal faith life.

If you ladies have any ideas, or suggestions on what else to include I would love to hear from you!! πŸ™‚

A while ago, I actually thought it’d be cool to keep letters to my future husband! I only wrote like, one, then felt sorta weird and cheesy and decided not to. I’m curious, if you’re okay with sharing, what type of things you write or are planning to write in those letters? πŸ™‚

I haven’t exactly started yet, but I was thinking certain things along the lines of prayers for him, my own hopes and dreams, just little insights to my inner-being, etc… I haven’t completely thought it through but Pinterest does have some fabulous ideas if you were to look πŸ™‚

I have a journal that I bring to church with me every week and write down stuff that my priest says or I’ll write down my prayers and reflections in it. You could incorporate that into one of your notebooks. I’ve found it to be super cool because then if I can’t remember something from church I can just look it up. Great idea btw!

I write letters to my future husband. I have been doing it for a while now, but I don’t actually write that often because I want that journal to last throughout the years.

I also have a prayer journal. I write my ‘letters to God’ in it.

I also like what spyder said. ^^^ I have been working on getting another journal for that idea, but haven’t gotten around to it. My sister kept one like that though and it was pretty cool.

I have an 365 day journal. I finished the one from 2014, and looking back on it I’m so thrilled with myself for sticking with it. It’s a hodge-podge of my hopes and dreams and thoughts and prayers and daily struggles and triumphs and boring moments and exciting times, and I loved making it. I’ve taped pictures and ticket stubs and drawings and stuff into it, and I’ve also drawn on a lot of the pages. I’ve written song lyrics in it, too – both my own originals and others that I just liked or that described how I was feeling.

It’s completely falling apart and I’ve definitely fixed it more times than I can count. The cover is revamped with colorful duct tape and I’ve put stickers all over it from my university and just things that I liked. I tried to write every day, at least 1 page. Last year I did really well, but I need to make more time for my 2015 journal. I haven’t written very much, and it’s still empty as far as added things. My 2014 journal is one of my prized personal possessions, for sure. It’s crazy to look back on it now, because it makes last year feel like it happened just yesterday. It’s definitely a fun way to journal your year – even if you’re not artistic, you can make a journal like that! It’s really fun. πŸ™‚

I also have a little box that I write letters or little notes to my future husband and put them in. I’m currently calling it my “Beloved Box”, because every letter or note I start with “Dear Beloved” (because I don’t know his name yet, haha). I just started it so I don’t have too much in it yet, but I write anything from Bible verses I like, to letters about my current struggles, to thoughts about who he will be. I’ve also put a few pictures of me in there, so there’s kind of like a time-capsule thing for him – I want him to be able to see my journey on my way to becoming the woman God molds me into.

My plan is, Lord willing of course, to give my future husband this box on our wedding day before we see each other and the ceremony and all of that, so that he can read through it. I want it to be something special for him that only I could give him (if that makes sense).

So yeah! Those are a few of the things I do. I also have a little notebook that I take to church with me like Spyder, but sometimes I just bring my journal and write church notes in that. πŸ™‚

I have a journal that I wrote quotes, Bible verses, and song lyrics in and another that I write about feelings and life.

@MandaPanda18, That’s a pretty cool idea for a journal. I will have to think about starting one up like that. I already have way too many journals though haha….

I also keep a journal where I write down little stories from my life as if they were in a book. It’s great to go back sometimes and reread them when I have some free time.

I was keeping a journal where I wrote letters to the people in my life, but I haven’t written anything there in a while.

And then of course I have THE journal where I write (Almost) everything. When I filled up my last journal I had to go a few weeks without one and it drove me crazy. I just write in this journal whenever I feel like it.

Plus I have my song lyric journal.

I thought about doing a box for my letters to my future husband, but decided on a journal instead. I figured a notebook would be easier to keep up with and I can just tape pictures in there.

I have a Poetry journal (a self-decorated composition notebook), a Writing Inspiration journal, and a personal one where I write letters to my nana who died before I was born, and some religious things, personally. It’s really calming and keeps my thoughts in order.

I have a “thoughtful spot” journal. I just write whatever I want in it. I add pictures and tape in envelopes with tickets and admission bracelets and pages I saved from my diaries I kept back in elementary school. Sometimes I even take school notes in them because I left my actual notebook at home. I even write songs and letters to people in the bible. I wrote letters to John the Baptist once. I’ll probably keep it until I’m old and wrinkly πŸ™‚
