well im 14 years old and i had a very strange and scary dream the other night. it really freaked me out a lot! it was about me and a close friend if mind and i cannot remember too much of it but from what i can remember we felt like we had feelings for each other or something. it wasnt sexual at all from what i can recall. like this is the first time this has ever happened to me and it made me upset. i have nothing against gay people but i do not believe in it and certainly do not want to be. but i dont know what this means at all! and i cant stop thinking about it. just the thought of me liking girls makes me want to cry bc im a fully committed Christian and that goes against my religion. and another thing if this has anythung to do with it I have never dated anyone well very seriously and I don’t have many guy friends at all and a lot of people at my school think im lesbian bc ive never really dated anyone but like this is the first time ive ever thought of something like this. it really affected me! and i can barely even talk to my friend anymore because of this. can someone please help:(

Well, you say you don’t ”believe in” being gay, but it’s not a choice. If you’re gay, you’re gay. That’s like someone saying they don’t believe in God- they may not believe but that doesn’t mean he’s not there.
Anyways, I don’t think you have anything to worry about. It’s not something to beat yourself up over.

First just take a deep breath. It’s alright. Dreams are just dreams. Sometimes in dreams you do things you wouldn’t ever really do in real life. You don’t need to beat your self up about just ask God about what he is trying to teach you. I would also tell someone. A parent or even the friend in your dream, talking about it will help clear your conscience.

I think everyone at least has a dream like this one time in their life or another. I would say to not worry about it. Dreams are figments of your subconscious mind, so chances are, if you’ve been thinking about an issue, it’ll pop up in your dream. If you’re not a lesbian, and if you have no lesbian feelings in real life on a regular basis, then just don’t worry about it. It’s perfectly normal, I believe.
