Hi my name is Tatum and I’m a college track athlete who is just finishing her first semester of Freshman year. Like most Seniors in high school, I had my heart set on one college. Along with that college I planned my whole life out following those 4 years. Let me tell you that God didn’t like my ideas too much and if you guessed it, I didn’t get my way. He directed me to a college I wasn’t even looking at. However, it was where I needed to be in order to keep serving, worshiping, and growing in Him. I am happy the Lord did this, for I never thought I would grow and see so much of God on a non-christian campus.
Sometimes I think we want to be in control of our life and make sure we are in that “safe” zone so we can try to dodge those curveballs life throws at us. However, we forget to ask the Lord to direct us on His path, and even harder, we forget to lay everything down with complete trust in him. Let the Lord take the reins in everything and follow Him. He knows what’s best for you and where you need to be in order to keep your eyes on Him. And although sometimes its difficult to remember, His plans for us are much greater! Proverbs 3:5-6

I was *just* thinking about this!! God’s plan is often much different than we think, and about a million times better ;))

BTW, that’s cool that you run track! I ran cross country in high school 🙂
