I wrote a speech on this topic for school, and decided to put an edited version on YouTube. Not sure how many views I’ll get on a crumby quality, 10 minute long, controversial video, but hey, with the number of people who spend their days browsing YouTube, you never know. Sorry it’s so long, but I have trouble summarizing my explanations of my opinions. ;P Please watch if you can, and let me know your thoughts!

I definitely agree with you that makeup can be harmful in this day and age with so much emphasis on “the perfect woman” and how women should look. I was so insecure for years and refused to let anyone see me without makeup. I even slept with it on because I hated myself so much.
However, like it is mentioned, makeup is not necessarily always bad, and while I dont think you have to wear makeup everyday, I do prefer to wear it to work. Putting makeup on (Even if it is just a little bit) is the trigger in my mentally ill brain that I am going out, and it’s time to be the responsible adult that I have to be. It also does make me feel more put together. I spent the time to get clean, and add a little freshness to my face. Not because I have to, but because I want to.
Overall though I think you did great. And I don’t think you were rambling or seemed to struggle to get your point across.
