I’ve been looking forward to prom for years, and finally I can go, but I don’t know who to go with. None of my friends (guys or girls) are planning on going. Is it appropriate to ask one of my guy friends instead of waiting for someone to ask me?

If you want to ask one of your guy friends, you should go for it! There’s definitely nothing inappropriate about it.

What may said! Sometimes guys just need a little push. That whole “guy ask girl thing” honestly isn’t into play anymore. If you feel comfortable around a certain guy and he’s comfortable around you just do it! Either if it’s a yes or no you know that you’ve tried and you’ll find that perfect guy, weither it be before the dance or during

Go for it girl! In this day and age, the “Only a guy can ask a girl out,” or to a dance, doesn’t really apply anymore. You should feel totally free to ask a guy friend of yours that you are comfortable with and trust to a dance. There are only two outcomes if you ask him: yes and no. If he says yes, then great! You have someone to go to the dance with. If he says no, that’s fine too and you can just ask someone else. Good luck!

Go ahead and ask him! But don’t make a big deal over it. Just do it casually!

Absolutely! And don’t beat yourself up if he says no.
