Well I’m a high school senior and I want to go to a private Catholic college because I feel called to major in Theology and Education. Money is of course and issue, my parents just don’t make much. So I was wondering if any of you have ideas on scholarships, financial aid, grants, etc. I mean my grades and test scores are good, it’s just hard to find scholarships and such. How are you all paying for college? And college advice of any kind is appreciated. And above all I need prayers, that I find God’s will and that I’m able to carry it out. Thank you so much ladies!

Ughhhhhh I know exactly how you feel. Fill out the FAFSA form (google it) and see how much financial aid you qualify for.

You should be able to get some form of scholarship simply based on your gpa and SAT/ACT scores. For one school I looked at the higher your SAT score the higher the scholarship was.

Look into getting a Pel grant. Also, see if the college offers a lot of scholarships because sometimes private colleges do.

Katelyn,

I can definitely relate! I am going to go to a Christian college about a thousand miles away from home that in all honesty, my family can’t afford. But, God has given me so much confirmation that it is His will for me to go there, so I’m taking a leap of faith and trusting His calling for me 🙂 Of course I still worry about the money, but whenever I find myself doubting, I try to focus on Matthew 6, which is all about how God will always provide for us. So, my advice to you is to follow God’s calling and trust that He will provide. He may not drop a boatload of cash on your doorstep, but if you pray, put effort into applying for scholarships, and work hard at a job or whatever else you may have in your life, He might bless you in ways you may not have expected!

I’m praying for you, girl!
