During my state of depression I fell in love with rock music. It was my therapy. It had become an idol. I eventually gave it up. But now the depression is back and worse, and I keep going back to my old music. I know it’s not good for me. The lyrics feed my bitterness and definitely aren’t pure or lovely. I need some uplifting music to replace the old, depressing music. Does anyone have any recommendations? I’m open to anything that would follow Philippians 4:8 (pure, lovely, etc.)

If you want to still listen to rock music, I’d suggest Skillet, Switchfoot, or Thousand Foot Krutch. If not, I’d pray about it first of all. Then just look up Christian pop or rap or something else depending on your taste. I find that Christian pop is very uplifting for me and puts me in a happy energetic mood! Good luck and God bless!
