So like love Project Inspired but I feel like I’m the only one who ever disagrees with some of their stuff. Please tell me I’m not alone!

Also random thought I feel like PI should talk about periods and pregnancy and stuff every once in a while lol anyone else agree?

Lol you haven’t been on PI for long have you?

I’m kidding, sort of. πŸ™‚ Debates, arguments and disagreements are (or at least used to be) a big thing on the forums and even in the comments under the articles. I for one love that part of PI, because it taught me how to disagree kindly and to really think about my beliefs instead of just “feel” them or blindly follow what I learned in Sunday school.

Disagreement is normal, don’t worry! (I disagree with the article that says women shouldn’t be pastors) No one is right 100% of the time, except God. Everyone has a different perspective on issues and scripture interpretation because everyone has different pasts and an individual mind. The best thing you can do is pray and let the Holy Spirit “lead you into all truths”, as God promised he would. (John 16:13).

I think all the articles are written sincerely and with a genuine love for God, so even if I don’t agree I still appreciate them. And there have been articles I’ve learned a lot from!

As far as periods and pregnancies, I think that would be cool too, but there’s such a huge age range (middle school-college) that maybe they’e just not comfortable doing that. Middle schoolers don’t really need to be learning about pregnancies from the internet.

@chacogirl, as AdventureGirl said, plenty of other PI girls disagree with certain articles (or even all of them). I for one have disagreed with numerous articles posted.

Also, there are manymanymany PI authors/contributors now, and actually, if you’ve been on PI long enough, you’ll realize that some articles are from different viewpoints than other articles of the same topic; and I think perhaps that’s purposeful. PI as a whole has the same foundational beliefs, but they acknowledge that different opinions/perspectives exist and that certain topics are based on personal standards. (If that makes any sense?)

Yeah, sometimes I do. But there will always be things people disagree on.
And I agree, that would be nice. More coming of age articles.

I pretty much only get on PI to look at the forums. I don’t pay much attention to the articles they post because they all seem geared toward people who are younger than me. But I’m sure I’d disagree with some of the articles if I read them.

I don’t read all the articles but I have definitely disagreed with multiple ones on multiple points. There is an author on here that I really don’t agree with. And that’s fine! She has her beliefs I have mine. Any place you have lots of people there are going to be disagreements. So no you aren’t alone. πŸ˜‰

When I first came here in 2013, there were a lot more debates. I kind of think of myself as an older PI member now, and there’s definitely a new group of people that I haven’t seen very much. Like Mandi said, I think this site has taken a slight turn into having more liberal views (which personally, I like). PI was definitely more conservative a few years ago. Also, to answer your questions, no you certainly aren’t alone! And I do think that we should talk about periods and pregnancy more, especially since those topics affect all of us in some way.
