What do you think about plastic surgery?
Is it wrong, does it even matter?

I wouldn’t gets plastic surgery, but I don’t understand why people hate on those who do. It’s really no different than dieting.

I don’t see the problem with it.
If you judge people who have had plastic surgery, do you also judge people with prosthetics? Contacts? Tans? Extensions? Tattoos? Makeup?
Where does the judgement end?

I think the reason people get plastic surgery is what we should be looking at, not the actual act of getting it. It’s really important that we don’t make up sins that are not in the Bible, or we’ll get really legalistic and condemning. Keep in mind that what’s a sin for some people isn’t a sin for others.

For instance, just as an example, if watching a movie causes repetitively sinful thoughts, then for you, watching that movie is a sin. But that doesn’t mean everyone will react the same way. Some people might be fine watching it.

In the same way, if you just genuinely want bigger boobs just for the heck of it and decide to get a breast implants, I don’t see how that’s a big deal. You can always take them out anyway. (Well through surgery but you CAN remove them)

But if you want bigger boobs because deep down you think you will be accepted more if you have them, or people will like you more or you’ll be admired more then I think that really stems from a fear of people, and you need to treat that instead of getting the surgery.

As far as say, a nose job, I’ll pose a question to you lovely ladies. If someone has a nose they don’t like and want to get it “corrected” (to fit society’s standard of beauty) isn’t that kind of like saying that God, who is the absolute master creator of everything–including the very concept of beauty itself–did a bad job and we want something different? Like we could do better than the best artist the world’s ever known? How do you see it?

I think it’s different than dying your hair, using makeup or painting nails, because for me that’s simply self-expression.

Nobody should hate on people who get plastic surgery. I know several amazing, beautiful, godly women who I really look up to who’ve gotten some plastic surgery. Bottom line is I don’t think it’s a big deal, but definitely pray and Jesus for wisdom before you do it 🙂

I’m with AdventureGirl. And with that, sometimes plastic surgery is used for scar removal, so that’s okay too.

I won’t ever think about making my boobs bigger lol.
I don’t care if you get plastic surgery.
My little brother has had it because he has a cleft lip. My sister has had it to reconstruct her face because she has a syndrome. I think it is better if you really need it. Like, my friend got a nose job but it was for a medical reason (deviated septum)
