Hi PI,
I could really use some good old prayer. I am in a relationship with the most wonderful man in the world and there are many instances that point to our meeting being by God. I believe he is the one for me due to all of the situations that only point to God’s presences in our lives. That being said… I have struggled in the past with a lot of bad relationships and friendships so I am a very slow and cautious person. I’ve also seen so many long term couples break up after dating for 4 or 5 years. While I believe my boyfriend is the one I get very afraid by how much he loves me and that he has already given me the promise to propose to me. I’ve watched his life change since with met because he was drawn back to God and been healed from a few things before we started dating. Each day I find more things to love about his wonderful heart or how we can compliment each others opposite strengths and weaknesses. We have been through so much and I get super impatient and eager to want to get married. And yet I also am not ready yet because I feel so young and like I have so much more life to experience and growth. My boyfriend gets a little hurt because he feels that me not being able to commit to him right now means I must not love him.
I just feel torn between wanting to grow into the best woman I can be and also wanting to get married and start a life with the love God has blessed me with right now.
If You could pray for patience and God’s wisdom that would be awesome! Also if anyone can relate please let me know!

Yes of course! But also, tell him this, exactly this! Your relationship sounds wonderful, but rejection hurts anyone, even if it’s for a good sensible reason like yours. Let him know how much you love him–exactly what you told us–and that your inability to commit right now is in part because you love him so much. (ie gaining life experiences and growing into the best person you can be will translate into a much happier marriage in the future.)

Kudos to you girl, you sound really smart. Know God has blessed both of you and will continue to do so. 🙂
