I have this same problem! I read my Bible and Pray and every night I think that I’m not giving God everything he deserves but I’ve made that a habit and its so hard to get out of!

I think to put God first in our lives it’s important to not only read and study the Word and pray but also try to glorify Him through what we do and obey His Word, that means God’s will is more important to you than yours or the world’s and that is putting God 1st

I struggle with similar problems: often I feel like “Do I love God enough?” and then I go cry in the corner and make my emotions make me more confused.

I’ve gradually improved over time and found that we CAN’T put God first in our lives. Because of our sin, we are unable to love Him “enough” or to put Him first in our life “enough”. Christ died because we couldn’t worship God like He deserves: the only way to do that is to be perfect.

I think that the more you earnestly read your Bible and pray and do it with the intention of knowing Christ more and what He wants for you He will work in your heart and help you to become more like Him. Our worship to God is mainly the result of knowing Him, and although we won’t become perfect in this life, we will when we see Him in heaven.

I hope that you trust in God through this — He is the One who helps us trust Him, love Him, and worship Him. If we could do this on our own strength, Christ wouldn’t have to die.
