Before you panic, I’m not here to say anything bad, but more to ask for guidance. I’ve never been very religious, I mean my mom is, and I used to go to these christian after school programs until I was about 9, but I never really feel like I took any of it to heart, I was there to have a good time. Anyways, as I got older I really decided, “I’m not a christian, I don’t believe any of this.” A few years later I started to think, well perhaps God is real, perhaps Jesus did die on the cross for our sins, but not mine. I didn’t think I deserved to be Christian, and I didn’t have the nerve to devote myself to one thing, one God. Anyways this is taking to much explaining.

I would recommend reading through the Bible yourself, starting with one of the gospels (Luke’s my favorite). I grew up going to church, but I never really could own and understand it till I read it for myself. This will help answer a lot of your questions. Also, if you can find a strong Christian who you can ask any questions and who will help you find answers and be a mentor, that will help a lot, too.

Read biographies about CS Lewis. I think that you’ll be able to relate. Good luck! 🙂

You were crafted by Him in the womb, and He loves you dearly! He waits for you at the door, and will not leave there!

Be able to surround yourself or even just find one person who is immersed in the Holy Spirit. Someone that you trust and can go to for help. God takes you for who you are and what you are. He’s not gonna look at you and say “meh, not this one.” That’s not how he rolls. His grace is for EVERYONE not just the people who have understood him their “whole lives” and have done the whole church goody goody thing for sixty years.
