Hey. I have been feeling so stressed and I am having to put effort into not breaking something or someone. I have been grumpy, mad, stressed and uncaring. I don’t want to feel like snapping someones wrist when they annoy me and normally I can just shake it off but now I just want to shake them till their neck breaks.
Do you have any thing that will help me calm down, and just chill out? Anything from yoga to reading or just anything.

Ugh I feel ya! When I get like that, I usually go for a run. Also, make sure you get plenty of sleep! A lack of sleep wreaks havoc on your emotions, and you’re wayyy more prone to mood swings and wild, irrational feelings.

I would say isolate yourself for a weekend. That’s what I do. I stay in my room, I eat all meals except dinner in my room and I just veg and watch TV and read books. Sometimes your brain needs to check out for a minute. Normally 2 days is enough for me to get back on my feet. For you it might be a few hours or a day or more time. I dunno, It varies form person to person. Just let yourself crash so that your body can rest and recuperate from the stress.

One thing that helps me when I’m really stressed is to go for a run. I just start sprinting until I feel like I’ve released all that negative energy, then go for a slower-paced jog to just calm down a little bit.

Thank you guys! I have a few really light weights that I just keep doing repetitions with. And I rant to my best friend. I go on vacation in 8 days so that should help . b

When I get stressed, what I like to do is listen to music while on a playground swing. It’s odd, but it helps.

I like to take a long cool shower, and give myself the “full treatment”. I use face masks, lotion, cucumbers on eyes, anything that helps me relax!
