Do you ever hear a song and get hit with the “oh-poop-this-song-is-pretty-much-about-me” feeling? It happened to me multiple times on Sunday when I was in the car listening to Taylor Swift’s Fearless album. With every song, I was reminded of someone from my past and not all were bad memories. For example the song Fearless reminded me of my first kiss last year. It was almost like she wrote that song about my first kiss being flawless and really something. It was a little weird. Anyone else been there and if so, what song was it and why?

Lithium by Evanescence. Not anymore, but like, three years ago. I was kinda depressed, my hormones were all wonky, I couldn’t eat, and I was having regular anxiety attacks. Good times.
And anyone can find a song they relate to in Memento Mori by Flyleaf. It’s so goooood.

Slinky, Memento Mori was a beautiful album. So many amazing songs.
I feel that way a lot of the time! There’s always a song for how I’m feeling. Lately it’s Bright by Echosmith. I’m pretty much in love, so it works 😀

Palmetto Peach by Seabird. A friend recommended it to me and I hadn’t heard anything by them, so I looked it up. It. Is. So. Beautiful. When I played I literally just stopped everything and listened for four minutes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LX0fcWUWA0U

It’s not that any song in particular hits hard, but if I listen to anything in the movie “Billy Elliot” I get a huge rush of motivation. Because Billy, as a character and the film in general is what motivated me to stand up to my (emotionally abusive, sometimes) mom and tell her I’m going to my dream college, not hers. So, play Children of the Revolution or Cosmic Dancer or something and I will do ALL THE THINGS
