Wrote this in my notes a while back and thought I’d share.
Lately I’ve heard a lot of people talking about how we need to “love ourselves” but how do we “love ourselves” and stay humble? After some Bible diggin I’ve found that God doesn’t want us to take pride in what we’ve done because ultimately we do some pretty sinful stuff, but in what HE is doing in us. Every great day I have, every “good” thing “I” do, every time I’ve learned something awesome about God is ONLY by HIS grace!! By HIS grace my day is great, by HIS grace he helps me to see the need of others and take action, by HIS grace He has taught me some pretty darn cool stuff. Don’t “love yourself” love the work Christ has done in you and let your confidence flow from that.
I encourage you to look for yourself to see what scripture says. Personally I like to look up words in the concordance of my Bible when I want to learn about something ( which is what I did in this case )
I hope you all have a wonderful day!
