As you may already know, they finally legalized same sex marriage in all 50 of the United States of America today (June 26, 2015). Thoughts?

I think it’s so amazing and I am incredibly happy about it!!! The separation of church and state is really important to me, so even if you have a religious disagreement with gay marriage, you have no right to tell other people what they can and cannot do based on that religious belief in a secular society.

Amazing! I tear up a little when my gay and lesbian friends say they thought it would have never happened in their lifetime. Now they can enjoy all the legal benefits marriage offers and have their commitment recognized officially 😀

I am saddened by the fact that our society is fully embracing living in sin. Now, to be clear, I am not condemning anyone who faces homosexuality in their personal lived. We all struggle with different sins and we are all unworthy in the eyes of God aside from finding redemption in Jesus. But the Bible clearly states over fifty times that acting on homosexual desires is a sin just as much as lying, stealing, cheating, hating, and murdering (among many other things). With this law being passed, I know that the church as a whole will be tested and persecuted more than before for standing up for what the Bible says. The passing of this makes me sorrowful because our generation is so far from the word of God. So I will never be okay with this supreme court decision. I hope no one has taken offense to my beliefs and that if you have, you find solace in prayer with God and reading the Word.

But the fact that the bible says it’s a sin is not grounds for legislation prohibiting it. I am truly sorry that the decision makes you sad, but any other ruling would have denied all other American citizens our right to separation of church and state.
