So I am a pear-shape. I loose weight, I workout, but no matter what I do I am STILL a slight pear-shape. haha

Aline dresses, skirts with tucked in tops, leggings (but only with a longer top) all look very flattering.

Anyways what is your body-shape, and how do you dress for it?

I’m pretty much an inverted triangle, but with wider hips. And when it comes to body shape, working out isn’t really going to change much, because your shape is mostly based on how wide set your hips and shoulders are. These cannot change no matter how much you work out. I don’t know what to wear for my body type specifically.

^^ Yeah that’s true!
Think about your favorite most slimming outfit. What is it? An a-line? Skinny jeans with long boots? What makes you feel slim?

My body type is like a straight thin-ish stick. I’m short too. I mostly just wear jeans and tee shirts/occassionally famcier tops but I certainly don’t know what would be most flattering on a stick like me! Any suggestions? 🙂

^^^ You sound kinda like me!! I have a really slim bodytipe…. impossible to shop for jeans LOL. The PI article that was on here awhile ago about having a slim body type totally described my life. I am also a stick… LOL

I have the same body type that you do! And I wear a lot of the same things. I stick to basic colors. I also avoid very tight or skinny jeans. Maxi-dresses look great and hide your legs/hips. Basically tighter clothing on top, looser clothing on the bottom is the most flattering rule.

I am a very thin pear.
I have small chest and waist but almost a nine inch different between waist and hips. My thighs are really small and I have a huge thigh gap. You can stick your fingers under my collarbone.
I always wear pushup bras. I mainly think they’re comfortable buy also give the illusion of boobs.
I normally wear tight graphical tees, or plain text shirts. I also love layering though.
I always wear boot cut pants though. Very right around the thigh and hips but flare out around the calfs. I have a dislike for skinny jeans.

@Petunia that sounds cute! I usually go for the opposite. A loose top with leggings. But hey, I might try switching it up sometime!

@Juanita11 How can you be a pear and have a thigh gap? I am so confused. lol You sounds really pretty, though. 😀

@Nate
I have really wide hips and long thin legs. I don’t know if pear is completely correct but it is mostly what I am just really thin.

You sound gorgeous! There are body calculators that you can type your measurements into, and they will tell you your body type.

I have done that before and it told me pear. But I have also heard that I am more of a ‘ Skittle ‘ body shape but I had not hear of that before.
Thank you for your complements!

I believe I have more of a hourglass shape but my bust is just a tad bit smaller than my hips. But to be honest, if I think it looks good on me then I wear it. That’s how I shop and style clothes for my body shape and in a way that is all that matter, if you think you look beautiful in something then wear it! Rock it cause in all reality, confidence is what will make you rock that outfit rather than if it flatters your shape. But don’t get me wrong I am not bashing this topic in any way! Just saying that’s how I dress for my body shape and I find I am more happier that way. I used to stray from things that didn’t go with my “body shape” and it just discouraged me. Love it? Wear it, rock it. Simple 😉
