The 5 love languages are:

Words of Affirmation
Quality Time
Receiving Gifts
Physical Touch
Acts of Service

Basically, in your relationships–romantic or friendship–your “language” is what makes you feel the most loved, what really connects you to another person and improves your relationship with them. Maybe you really appreciate it when someone encourages you, or maybe you feel the most loved when someone spends time with you, giving you their undivided attention.

You might have several! 🙂 I got equal scores on 3 of them, and they describe me perfectly!

Quality Time
Words of Affirmation
Physical Touch

Take the test here, then share your results!

Gift Giving
Physical touch.
It was no wonder to me that physical touch is at the bottom! Although I love holding hands with my boyfriend and hugging him, I also LOVE personal space. I feel like my boyfriend is too touchy-feely sometimes (he’s the sensitive type, I’m not, but i still love him to death 🙂 )
I also wasn’t surprised when acts of service was at the top! I am easily stressed out and overwhelmed a lot and it means a lot to me when people show they care for me by helping me out.
I got the 5 love languages book for my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day and it was funny because he said he was considering getting me the same thing!
I mostly got it for him because it was the first piece of semi-Christian literature he’s ever been interested in and being a Christian is a really important thing to me and I’d like him to have a little more interest in it since we have started to get really serious in our relationship. It’d be awesome if you guys prayed for him as well 🙂
5 love languages is one of my favorite relationship based books for both friendship and relationships! It really opened my eyes to how I can serve other people and make them feel loved in their own unique ways.

Hugs are the best! And DO NOT side hug me, I want an actual hug. He made up this whole side hug thing, anyways?!

I know these are accurate. I know it really hurts when people I love ignore me and I feel really awkward when I am given gifts… that is just not how I feel loved. I do love the occasional hug or kiss and holding hands though.

Tis true for me! Spending quality time with who I love is a big deal to me. It’s a great way of bonding to me! Public displays of affection just feel awkward to me O.o
