Do you get nightmares?
How do you get them to go away?
What have you found helpful, that actually works?

Before I say anything – I’m sorry if I ever sound preachy!!! I really don’t want to because the only reason I have these ideas are (I believe) from God. First, of all, go to God with it! I used to think all nightmares were from the enemy. I mean, it makes sense, right? God is the wonderful counselor! Why would he send us scary dreams? Turns out, 1/3 of the bible is dreams and visions. You know how Pharoah had that dream about those skinny and fat cows? I’m sure he would’ve called that a nightmare, but it was a warning, from God.
A couple weeks ago, I woke up in a sweat, I was so scared! After processing it with my family and asking God about it, I realized it was a warning for me to continue forgiving someone who has hurt me a lot.
And I know there’s so much stuff out there about “dream interpretation” that sounds cooky. But, the enemy can’t create, he can only twist, right? So, that stuff written by non – christians like little booklets that you might’ve seen at gift stores obviously isn’t good, but I believe there’s a godly side to it. I’ve gotten into the habit of asking God to have me remember only dreams that are from him, none from the enemy or my flesh (like memories of that day and stuff) every night. This has helped me feel more secure, peaceful and even though I may still have stressful, intense, scary dreams, it has been warnings/guidance from the Lord! Also, every night I claim the blood of Jesus over me (basically just saying I’m God’s child) and repent any un – repented sin to the Lord and forgive anyone who I haven’t forgiven (It’s a choice, not a feeling) (Ephesians 4:26).
I’m still a bit of a newbie to this stuff, 🙂 so I know it can sound crazy… This is just my conviction.
I’ll be praying for you!
