I’ve been dealing with several deaths over the last year, and I was talking with a friend on the chat here and expressing my pain over going through this and she told me that there has to be a reason. That got me thinking, and I’ve been considering that for a few days. Is there a reason for those deaths happening and, if so, what is that reason?
I’ve come to the conclusion that the reason is simply because we live in a fallen world. This world is falling apart. Sin came into the world and caused all sorts of bad stuff. Not only are people natural sinners, death is a consequence unleashed by sin and even the natural world is falling apart. The reason bad things happen in this world is because of the fallen state of the world, and the good news is a perfect world is coming. 🙂

I’ve always believed it’s because things affect one another in a macro sense. One good thing lead to another ending. One bad thing uproots someone else from where they were, onto the next good thing. All things, good and bad, are forever changing, and it’s just a part of the way balance works. One person has the time of their life, another cries themselves to sleep. People are born, dead, and wedded all within minutes of each other. It’s not a symptom of anything other than the world turning, or at least I view it that way
