Do you have any problems in public school?

Most definitely! School is a rough place. Your faith can be very tested in any school, not just public!

Yes, 2 of my best friends are being bullied and I don’t know what to do. Also, I’ve been struggling with Language Arts, but I’ve been praying and I brought it up from a 72% to a 89%! So relieved!!!

Temptations to follow the crowd and grasp the ‘how far is too far’ mentality in relation to parties etc can be an issue to many (this is applicable to public and private schools alike). However, I’ve noticed that as long as you stick to your guns an stay true to yourself you’ll find like-minded people to spend your time with. It’s great when you finally meet them.

Yeah I’ve been going to public school my entire life so idk if this is just any school or just public school or what. Anyways I go to a school where if you don’t 100% agree with LGBTQ stuff, and you are open about not agreeing with it, then you’re basically ostracized and everyone thinks that you’re just the worst. So basically its a huge temptation to just keep your beliefs close, and just change the subject when your beliefs are challenged. Its also disappointing when you think you find friends that share the same beliefs and values as you… only to find that their values are completely different.

There’s been a lot of struggle lately. A breakup here, a new relationship there, crushes everywhere, and a few friends leaving. I’ve been praying subconsciously and stayed close with my real friends. Also, this year is confirmation and this one girl in my class acts like a Christian at church, then I sat near her at a football game and she was horrible. From her actions that night, you would never guess that she was a Christian. And I’ve tried to talk to her before and she now hates me. That helps a lot. Then there’s the people that act friendly to your face and you hear that they actually hate you and are talking behind your back. It makes me so mad and I can’t do anything about it.
Just please remember that no matter what, God is on your side. Keep your real friends close and stay away from drama. I cannot stress that enough. If you want to act Christianly just ask yourself, “What would Jesus do?”. It probably sounds generic and stupid. But this is my true belief and I’m trying my best to keep my own morals. There’s so much pressure and stress. Just hold on, there’s only a few more years of this stuff.
Last tip: Look forward to the weekends. Right now it’s our only freedom.
