Winter Xtreme is a Christian conference held in downtown Gatlinburg. Youth groups from all over attend. In the conference, they have famous Christian bands such as Newsboys, Casting Crowns, Francessa Batestelli, ect; come for a weekend of leading this conference. Everyone from ALL over is in one huge building worshipping Jesus. After the musicians preform, a teen speaker, usually Tony Nolan, Tom Richter, or Johhny Hunt, comes to speak. They always have amazing speakers that never BORE you. So many people get saved at this event and your youth group spends a whole weekend in Gatlinburg TN together. Our youth group gets a hotel across the street from the conference building and when its time to attend the services (morning and night) we do. However, in our spare time, the youth group shops downtown, eats, socializes, ect: My favorite memory from the trips are getting to meet the famous Christian artist and also waiting three and a half hours in a dark cold tunnel for a front row seats at the conference. One time me and my friend met some other people from a youth group also waiting in the tunnel and they asked us to play games with them. We got to meet some amazing people and fellowship with other Christians. I still have a friend I met there and she lives in Kentucky while I live in AL, but we still keep in touch. Its just an awesome weekend devoted to worshiping Jesus, learning more about him, and making lifelong relationships with your youth group and other people there.
