Seriously, ALWAYS wear sunscreen. Don’t use the thick drug-store stuff. Try going on amazon and buying a top-notch Korean sunscreen. If you already have a sunscreen, what kind is it? What is you skin type?

ALWAYS cleanse your skin! I first cleanse my skin with Jojoba oil, which I then gently remove with a washcloth, then I use my normal cleanser (by the way, I am on the market for a new foaming cleanser, about to order mizon snail crush foaming cleanser. It receives excellent reviews).

ALWAYS moisturize. It doesn’t matter if your skin is dry, oily, or combo, moisture is important. I have oily acne prone skin, and I use Dr. Lin hydrating gel. It is not suitable for any other skin type. Sorry. 😀

Find a chemical exfoliate to remove the dead skin cells that cover and hide your beautiful glowing skin and cause acne. If you are acne prone, I might suggest STRIDEX pads. They are sold at Walmart.

Find a skincare forum! I like the sub-reddit about Korean skincare. I also like http://www.makeupalley.com

What kind of skincare methods do you use? What is your holy grail of products? Do you need help finding a new product? Just let me know! I am obsessed with skincare! lol

Oooo thank you for reminding me! I need to tone and moisturize everyday but I get lazy 😛

I loooooooove Lush Cosmetics (I actually made a topic about my love for it awhile back hehehe)
All of the products are all natural, and I’ve never found anything that works better 🙂 My skin feels amazing and looks pretty good too. I struggled with severe acne/redness a few yrs ago so it’s a relief haha.

Have you ever tried Lavender oil? If you apply it to a skin problem (like pimples) the redness goes away really quickly and heals within a few days without much of a mark! (usually for me it takes weeks and leaves a red/purply scar…ugh) It’s so nice, I wish I had known about it much earlier! 😀

As for sunscreen….haha I’m SO bad about applying it. I hate the stuff from the store so I’ll take a look at the Korean type.

I do so little with my skin…
I need to start taking better care of it so I don’t get acne.
My favorite beauty brand is E.L.F.. It’s cheap, healthy, and good quality.
I just use a Walmart brand lotion and wash my face with water everyday. I’m.such a slacker but I have move important things I have to buy..

@AdventureGirl Might I suggest you try Skin Aqua by Rohto. It works GREAT for any skin type. It is a small, expensive bottle, but a little goes a LONG way. So it is worth the price. Rohto SKIN AQUA | Sunscreen Lotion | Moisture Milk SPF50+ PA+++ 40ml

@Juanita11 Consider skin an investment. My grandmother has AMAZING skin. She is 80, but looks 60! She takes great care of her skin, and I believe that everyone should. If you tell me your skin type I can give you some affordable product suggestions.

The link I tried to post in my above post didn’t work out. Let’s see if this one does. 😀 http://www.amazon.com/SKIN-AQUA-Sunscreen-Lotion-Moisture/dp/B004LPZZU0/ref=sr_1_5?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1434427600&sr=1-5&keywords=skin+aqua

I don’t really know what my skin type is but do you know how to get rid of black heads?
My isn’t dry or oily, but kinda switches around.

Try this, cleanse your skin with your normal skin cleanser. Wait about 30 minutes. Then check your skin in the mirror.
If it appears oily, and you when you touch your forehead and rub your fingers together they feel oily. Then you have OILY skin. Your cheeks may not feel “oily” but they shouldn’t feel dry either.

If you skin feels dry and itchy, especially your cheeks, then you have DRY skin.

If your forehead and chin is oily, but your cheeks are dry then you have COMBO skin. The oily region is considered you “T-zone”.

If your face feels moist and non-itchy you have NORMAL skin.

Most teenagers have oily skin. If your skin appears shiny at the end of the day, then you have oily skin, even if your skin didn’t feel oily at the end of this test.
For blackheads I might suggest biore strips. They receive good reviews. They are available at a very affordable price at wal-mart. There are also a series of great clay masks that are also very inexpensive. But they are customized for your skin type, so I will have to wait for your response before I can make a suggestion.
However, the best way to clear-up your skin is to determine a good routine. I will have many suggestions to make when you discover your skin type.

I have normal skin, and use Clean and Clear. Should I change it? And if so, could you recommend for me something that’s cheap? My mom probably won’t get it for me otherwise. xD

(Except it’s like it’s oily on my forehead, when in reality I just have bangs that mess everything up)

I might suggest CeraVe foaming facial cleanser for normal to oily skin. It has no scent. It receives excellent reviews on makeup alley and Ulta. You can read what people have to say about it in the comments here. http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod5140065 I have heard bad reviews about clean’n clear. I wouldn’t suggest that.
Do you use a moisturizer?

Remember to patch test new products, and don’t expect miracles, expect gradual changes.

I’ll have to consider that for the future, thanks. 🙂 I just can’t really consider it right now because I have to run out of the bottle I’m using first. And that’s gonna take a while.

Yeah, I use a moisturizer. And okay
