What Makes Glee So Great

I just started watching Glee and I have to say — this is one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. The premise for the show about teenagers dealing with high school issues and incorporating wonderful songs and dance routines is so fun. I especially love the cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester – she’s hilarious and cracks me up. I hope the show can keep up its story lines that are relatively clean and enjoyable – unlike so many other shows that insist on banking on inappropriate subjects!

Are you girls watching Glee? Who’s your favorite character?

I still to this day LOVE glee. Me and my aunt sit down every weekend after having watched it on Thursday and just discuss and fangirl for hours. I personally feel like some of the issues they are adressing now are a little more harsh and definately for older kids and I’m really starting to feel like it’s loosing all of its storyline which is actually really sad. It has just been picked up for two more seasons which is great, but I’m only going to really give it 3 more episodes when it returns next season to really get me interested. I think they should do another season of the glee project.

I have a question. I watched a few episodes of the first season of glee. Now, I like the singing and the point they r trying to get across, but there just seems like there is way too much sexual content. As well as other things that ruin the show. A lot of people my age love it, but I don’t really get it. Is glee really a good show for Christians?

So I have a question. I’ve watched a few episodes of glee (the first season) and i like the singing and whole point of it i guess, but there just seems to be way too much sexual content in there. I mean, that ruins it and along with other stuff. I’m not going to watch it anymore. A lot of people at my school love that show, but it’s just not for me. Is this show really a good example for Christians?

This is my friends words, ‘Glee,‘ which regularly features homosexual relationships and rampant sexual activity by minors, managed to limbo even lower with an episode featuring Gwenyth Paltrow as the school’s visiting “sex education” teacher. The episode began with outright hate speech against Catholicism, and quickly moved on to thinly veiled promotion of students becoming sexually active.

In the first scene, Paltrow’s character tries to pressure another teacher who is in favor of abstinence education into getting on board with her ideology. When the abstinence teacher dissents and says “I strongly disagree. I don’t think that we should barrage these kids with graphic information. They’re kids. I don’t want to steal their innocence,” Paltrow’s character haughtily exclaims: “Are you, like, some kind of crazy Pope lady?”

In a later scene, Paltrow’s character attempts to get the kids all riled up and excited about sex, rocking out and seductively dancing around in a low cut black leather jumpsuit and tauntingly screaming Joan Jett’s song lyrics “Do you wanna touch me there?” When one of the students, in the face of Paltrow’s character’s outrageous display, calmly asks: “What about those of us who choose to remain celibate?”, Paltrow’s character nastily replies: “…I think you’re naive…and possibly frigid…”

Hey heyhey! DOn’t bash on my babysitters a vampire! That is one of the cleanest shows they have made for a while. It is fun to watch, and has a good story line. It doesn’t force its ideas, and is a good show over all!

Even Disney’s gone downhill! ‘My babysitters a Vampire’? Seriously?

I am IN LOVE with Glee. I have to say, actually, Kurt is my favorite character. 🙂 Glee is the best show ever, and it definitely deals with things that actually happen in high schools, with a little singing, and dancing thrown in. It’s fantastic!! Thank you SO MUCH for posting this, Nicole!!!
