“Gold” by Britt Nicole

Britt Nicole is a well-known Christian pop artist who has reached thousands of lives with her uplifting and positive music. She released her third album, Gold, in February 2013. Britt was inspired to speak to the broken and to encourage the youth, reminding them of who they are. Her official website announced that on “November 29, 2012, Britt Nicole released the official music video for her single ‘Gold.’ Aiming to uplift and inspire, it features a cast of characters working through issues common among today’s teenagers, such as eating disorders and self-mutilation.

This song is very upbeat and fun, and makes you want to dance. The music video is very colorful and youthful. Check out the cover and music video below!

Some of my favorite lyrics are:

“So don’t let anybody tell you that you’re not loved
And don’t let anybody tell you that you’re not enough
Yeah, there are days that we all feel like we’re messed up
But the truth is that we’re all diamonds in the rough
So don’t be ashamed to wear your crown
You’re a king, you’re a queen inside and out
You glow like the moon, you shine like the stars
This is for you, wherever you are…”
