How to Walk by Faith, Not by Sight

PI readers, have you been waiting on the Lord for something and haven’t seen anything happen, or felt you haven’t heard from God? This can be difficult or frustrating. There are times in life when we wonder if God is around or if there is any hope.
I want to encourage you that even when we don’t see God at work, He is always working behind the scenes! There are many encouraging verses about waiting on the Lord, being patient and persevering when we are going through trials. One of my favorite verses on this is in the book of Isaiah, chapter 40. It says,
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint (Vs. 30-31).
Another scripture that is powerful is in the book of Hebrews, chapter 11.
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see (Vs.1).
I love this!! We know we can put our trust in God because He is faithful!
PI readers, I came up with a saying, and it is easy to remember when you feel discouraged. Just think, “When you have faith, God is FAITH-ful!” This is so true! Many times we may not get the answer we want, or may not see anything happen at the time we expected, but God always fulfills His promises and ALWAYS comes through! He is amazing and is Jehovah, which means “provider.”
For we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).
I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! (Psalm 27:13-14)
Here is a scripture that is so dear to my heart about God’s faithfulness!
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. There are new every morning; great is your FAITHFULNESS. I say to myself, ‘The Lord is my portion, therefore I will wait for him’ (Lamentations 3:22-24).
God has proven His track record is beyond trustworthy, so whenever I doubt, I remind myself of all that He has done for me and for my loved ones. We need to rehearse the truth and renew our mind to continue believing and to keep the faith.
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).
Listen to Elevation Worship’s “Give Me Faith.” This is a great, beautiful, uplifting song!
