Jennifer Lawrence Is Fabulous in Fit-and-Flare and We Match Last Week’s Modest Favorite!

Ladies, one of my favorite styles is the fit-and-flare dress. I think it’s both feminine and modest! So this week, I thought it would be fun to offer three very different fit-and-flare dresses. Take a look at them and tell us which is your favorite. Oh, and don’t forget to check out our matchup.

Let’s get to it!

Jena-Malone1

Jena Malone

I love this long fit-and-flare look. I like the color blocking and the crispness of the design. Very classic and modest!

jennifer-lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence

Here’s a really cool fit-and-flare option…the coat dress. This double-breasted dress has a lovely flow to it and I love how the embossed look and buttons add a little dimension to the look.

kelly osbourne

Kelly Osbourne

There’s something so fun about this dress! I love the color, and the design reminds me of a ball gown. So cool!

Now for our modest matchup!

Kristen-Bell

Kristen Bell

Last week, Kristen Bell’s dress with a gray circle skirt and embroidered top won our Modest Is Hottest poll, so I went in search of a similar outfit that could help you get her look! Boy…this was a tough one!

forever 21

Forever 21

black circle skirt

Modcloth

Although there are long circle skirts similar to Bell’s on the market, they all cost a pretty penny. So I found a lovely black circle skirt that’s shorter than Bell’s, but that you can wear for more occasions. To match, I selected this cute sparkle top. Not a match, but certainly a fun alternative that’s perfect for the holidays…what do you think?

Poll

Which of our three modest looks is your favorite?

Do you know where I could get a dress like Jennifer Lawrence’s? And anybody else LOVE the hunger games? 🙂

I liked #2’s top part, and #3’s bottom part ;p

I don’t like any of them that much.

For you’re next one you should do a pretty sparkly black jumpsuit that Selena Gomez wore. It’s perf for the holidays and modest!

I don’t really care for any of these dresses, though Jennifer Lawrence’s is not half bad.

Am I the only person who thinks that Kelly Osbourne’s dress is reminiscent of the replicators on Star Gate?

    1. Not bad. It’s pretty! But the length… Ugh. Shorten in by a few inches and it’s perfect!
    2. Love love love love. JLaw is precious and I love her.
    3. I keep going back and forth. I love tulle. I love silver. The ankle length is right for this dress. But something about it is weird…

In reading some comments I have a suggestion. Maybe instead of ALL red carpet dresses, you could try to do at least one casual outfit a week. Casual meaning a celebrity just walking to Starbucks in jeans and boots. Just a thought 🙂

3.- I think its’ the sleeves. If it was sleeveless or had cap sleeves and a boat neck I think I would like it better…

Not that I don’t live the dresses or think that the colomum is useful but I think it would be cool to do things other than a bunch of dresses. Like more everyday fashion

I agree. Since they are now showing the Modest Match-up, it would be helpful to have some everyday outfits which viewers could buy for more practical occasions. 🙂

    Kelly Osborn’s dress is awsome!!!

Didnt like the first one, and the coat one, looks too much like a coat for me. lol

Goodness, the 1st and 3rd are hideous! The 2nd is definitely an improvement, but it really isn’t exceptional either…

IKR!!! I’m not liking any of her choice’s. I’ve seen alot of cute modest outfits but I haven’t seen any of them on here 🙁

Agreed…The Modest Matchup is great, but the outfits are getting less and less appealing.

Exactly! This is my favorite column on Project Inspired, but their choices in dresses are not as flattering as they have been in the past. I loved those elegant dresses they used to show!

I love the first two! I REALLY LOVE Jennifer Lawrences dress!! I always loved the trench coat style!

I’m not so optomistic about the last one.

#1: Gorgeous! It is one of those dresses that looks good on pretty much anyone! I love the colors, though I wish she had maybe included a brightly colored necklace to make the outfit a bit brighter.
#2: She looks beautiful as always! 🙂 The dress is cute, though I would honestly prefer it a bit longer! I love the ruffles!!!!
#3: Not a huge fan of this one. Looks like a ballet costume or something. If the top was a different color and had no pattern, it might look better.

And as always, the best part about these outfits is that they are all completed with a smile! 🙂
