Let’s Take Off Our Makeup For a Day!!

Every month, we’re going to do something to celebrate who we are as strong Christian girls united in our mission to make the world a more GODLY place!

This month, our theme is INNER BEAUTY. We’re showing our true faces to the world by spending the day without makeup and DOCUMENTING IT!

I can’t wait to see the beautiful photos of yourselves that you send! Email them to me at projectinspired.com/contact. I will put some of my favorites on this page and I will upload them all in our Me Without Makeup section on the site for everyone to see!

    Does this count foundation too? I spend a lot of my time in the sun and my foundation has SPF 20 in it and it helps with my breakouts as well.

      well if it helps you with your breakouts and protects you from the sun then definitely wear it! :-)

        Physicians Formula. It’s a mineral foundation and I’ve noticed my skin tone becoming more even and I hardly get pimples anymore (: You can buy it at Wal Mart for about 12 dollars, works just as good as Bare Minerals but it’s cheaper.

    I like this idea!! It’s so great for a lot of girls. I myself don’t wear makeup, (so I will easily participate!) but I cant wait to hear the other Project Inspired girls’ stories!! :D

    I want to tell my sister to try this, but she never will. :( She practically lives in her makeup, and a lot of times, she doesn’t wash it off. Please pray for her so she knows shes naturally beautiful and doesn’t need the piles of makeup she wears.

    This should be an everyday thing for Christian girls! Christian girls should know it better than anyone else that we are beautiful and we do not need makeup. God made you girls ALL beautiful and you cover all that beauty with makeup. Makeup covers what God made to discover. When you put makeup on your basically telling God that He didn’t make you pretty enough, it’s an insult. Nicole you are so gorgeous without makeup and I know for a fact that all you PI girls are gorgeously beautiful without makeup because my Daddy made you all to His likeness and His image.

      I dont completely agree with you. Yes we were made in Gods image and we are all beautiful without makeup and we shouldnt wear so much that we cant recognize ourselves when we take it off but makeup is NOT wrong! I use makeup to highlight the qualities i like on my face (such as my blue eyes or my cheeks) i dont think there is anything wrong with that. Make up is not an insult to Gods handiwork. Makeup is a form of expression. Often misused yes but when used well it brings out and shines forth what we love most about how God made us. I think you should reconsider your stance. Its unfair to lay such a huge disconsideration of GOD on us.

    If I do this can I still wear some light mascara? It helps me not pick at my eyelashes because I don’t like that stuff under my fingernails.

    I am happy to say that I’ve went almost 2 whole weeks without ANY makeup and I don’t feel ugly or anything. I feel better actually, knowing that I don’t have to spend extra time “fixing myself up” if I don’t feel like it because it doesn’t make a difference & people still think you’re beautiful <3

    I love this idea! It’s a good reminder that we don’t need makeup to look beautiful, because we have inner beauty!
