Love Country? Check out These Three Christian Country Artists!

Girls! Are you a fan of country music? I’m a huge fan–especially when it’s glorifying Christ!

A lot of country artists are Christian and mix inspirational songs into their albums, such as Josh Turner, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Randy Travis and Rascall Flatts. But they’re not considered “Christian artists,” which makes them more appealing to mainstream listeners. However, it’s harder to know which artists sing strictly appropriate songs and which ones mix in songs that include negative themes such as drunkenness, lust and breaking the law.

If you’re looking for popular country artists who sing primarily Christian themes, then check out the following three!

33Miles –“What Grace Looks Like” (“Today,” released 2010)

Recent Album: “Today,” 2010

Point of Grace –“I Wish” (“How You Live–Deluxe Edition,” released 2008)

Recent Album:  “A Thousand Little Things,” 2012

Diamond Rio –“I Believe” (“Completely,” released 2002)

Recent Album: “The Reason,” 2009

There are so many country artists who record beautiful Christian music that glorifies God! Ladies, are you a fan of Christian country music? Who’s your favorite artist and what’s your favorite Christian song?

I want to add to your list another great country Christian artist: Chelsea Musick – check out her new album “Perfectly You.” She has positive messages and such a sweet spirit!

King and Country and Red Roots are two Christian bands that do amazing Christian country. “God Shaped Hole” and “Christian Country Girl” by Red Roots and “Busted Heart” by King and Country. 33 Miles really is good, especially, “One Life to Love.” Kris Allen is another country singer who is somewhat Christian, but not solely so, his music is fantastic though, especially, “Live Like You’re Dying.” Blessings:)

I especially enjoy Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery! They have excellent voices and use them for God’s glory! Diamond Rio sings two other songs I love. One is entitled, “One More Day.” The other song is “Beautiful Mess.” Also, I enjoy the songs “Amazed” and “I’m Already There” by Lonestar! Beautiful songs!

I really like Point of Grace, although for the most part I’m not really a “country” fan. Another country song that’s pretty good(as well as, I believe, Christian) is “They Don’t Understand” by Sawyer Brown.

Point of Grace has a great Christmas CD too. It’s all we’ve been listening to. I think it came out last year. 🙂
