It has been said that it takes more muscles to frown than smile. Whether or not that’s really true isn’t all that important…what does matter is that smiling is contagious! Smiling can make anyone’s day brighter. Smiling shows others you’re confident in who you are.
We at Project Inspired LOVE to see you girls smile. Not only does it brighten our day, but others also come here wondering why all you girls smile so much. “What are they so happy about?” they ask. Well, ladies, we are smiling because we love ourselves!
Now, you may be asking, “Doesn’t loving oneself make one prideful?” Well, maybe in the worldy sense, but not in the Godly way! You see, when we love ourselves based on God’s abiding love for us, and in response to His love for us, we share it with everyone we come into contact with! When people see you so happy, they want it, too.
We have a desire for happiness. Our world throws happiness at us in commercials to buy this product or that one. But happiness isn’t found in materialism; happiness is found in knowing that God loves us for who we are. A popular statement that has been floating around on the Internet says: “You must love one another out of obedience to God, which cannot be done outside of experiencing God’s love yourself in the first place and accepting what that love reveals about yourself.”
Since you all love God so much, we thought we would launch something new: #InspiredSelfie. We encourage you to take a “selfie” of your beautiful, smiling self, and in the caption, tell us how living a life in Christ inspires you! Remember to use the hashtag #InspiredSelfie. Upload these images to ANY of PI’s social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram. We’ll be going through these images daily, reposting our favorites and telling YOUR story of how your faith in Christ inspires YOU!
We can’t wait to see your selfies of your gorgeous, smiling faces!
