Nicole's Passions

Things I Love: Marilyn Monroe

She is one of my all-time favorite actresses, but more than that I loved who she was as a person. She was a talented young lady with a big heart, and a sparkle that enchanted all those whom she knew. She was mistreated and abused in Hollywood, but she’s in a much, much better place now – in heaven where God takes care of her and she’s fully loved. 🙂

I have my own crazy Hollywood story to tell. I’m so glad that I’ve turned things around and have been able to dedicate myself to the Lord. You can read my story here.

I don’t know, I feel like she wasn’t (but of course I can’t judge her heart) because I read she converted to Judaism in more than one place, and she didn’t really live by godly morals, but I don’t know her heart so…

I think that she is the most beautiful woman out there. I think that even today, although she is gone, she’s an amazing example of true beauty. I love her, and I believe that she is in a better place with her almighty father loving on her. I do realize that no one can judge if she is really there or not, but I like to believe she is.

Nicole, you tell people they dont know where he soul is, but neither do YOU. Let’s look at the facts:

-she unapologetically lived an ugly, un-Christianly lifestyle
-she was famous for being a sex icon
-she LEFT Jesus to convert to Judaism (because she married a Jew)
        -then she killed herself.

How is any of that going to get you in Heaven? God makes it VERY clear suicide doesnt get you into Heaven and to believe in Him.

How am I supposed to get my friend to be a Christian?Nothing is working.I pray, and pray, and I’ve invited her to church. What do I do?I would like you to please pray for my friend Savannah, she kinda makes up her own beliefs. I was talking to her one time and I asked her why she doesn’t believe in God and she said “I believe in angels, but God doesn’t make since to me.” “Why? And where would the angels come from?” I asked. “Because, there’s too much bad **** in this world. And I always say the angels come from the stars.” “And that means there’s no God? And really, angels come from the stars??? What???” I asked. “Well, if he was really this ‘Mighty God’, then how can he let wars go on? How can he let parents loose their kids? How can he let people die who doesn’t deserve it?” “Savannah, he lets people make their own decisions. And some people deserve heaven at a certain time.” “Well, he still doesn’t make since to me.” ):

It’s fine if she doesn’t believe. Her life, her choice, her beliefs. Someone’s personal beliefs are something to be respected.

Ashley I totally understand what your dealing with, and I will write a post this week about Why God is real, why he let’s bad things happen in the world, etc. When I write it, be sure to print it out and show it to your friend.

She died in sin. God and sin cannot ever ever ever be together. Its a shame that her soul was robbed and i do believe she was a beautiful human being who made mistakes like the rest of us.. but the Bible is very clear about these things. This is why we have to constantly wash ourselves clean with the blood of Jesus, and obey the clear rules that are in the bible. I’m sorry I’m not in any way trying to be rude. I love your website but i just don’t agree that she is in heaven. She sold her soul for fame and fortune and was a troubled person. I don’t consider her a role model

you don’t know where her soul is. How do you know she didn’t repent and ask God to forgive her of her sins? She was a troubled girl, she grew up in foster homes, got raped at 9 years old- and tried hard to be a movie star, starting out as an extra working 12 hour days to go unnoticed for a few years. She didn’t have any money because her mother was in a mental institution, and her grandmother committed suicide. She had a family history of Bipolar disorder and depression, and that’s why she needed medication to treat that. God blessed her with her incredible talent. She has a voice like no other. Her acting ability is wonderful as well, God made her shine. I own many original Marilyn Pictures, when she was Norma Jeane, (her real name) and she was brunette, and the girl next door. Her studio executive, Darryl Zanuck thought she didn’t look great on film, and asked her to get a nose job and so she did. She was a very complex person, I have many biographies of her and she loved to read, and she wrote poetry. In many of her notes she thanks God and asks him to help her feel happy again. So please don’t be so sure and pass judgements that are reserved for only God to pass. I hope you learned some new things about her : -)

you’re 100% right Deborah, except she wasnt talented at all, and even if she was, that makes no sense… Are you saying that because the Kardashians are famous, they’re talented? she was famous for her looks, body, and selling sex. Not talent.

      • Posted by on August 2, 2011 at 18:31

I’ve also watched some biographies of her on tv (i think nearly everyone has lol) but I dont claim to know everything. In those movies she was always put across as just lost. My intention was not to pass judgement, and im not a judgental person, I was just a little put off that a christian website would set her up to be some kind of role model, when in her time she was a sex icon, or whatever you call it. For me a role model is someone who lives an exemplary life for God. I deffinately agree she was a talent, if she wasnt she wouldnt be so famous to this day. I’m sorry for coming across as prejudice, I didnt even know she had a relationship with God. Thanks for clearing that up though, I did learn some new things and my heart goes out to everyone whos had to go through things like that in their lives. They say satan attacks those with the most genuine hearts because he knows that God can use them powerfully. I really do hope she is in heaven and at rest with our Father.

PS. I really do love your website, you have great advice for young ladies and you open peoples eyes to the truth about hollywood and the media, it shows that you care about what young girls are exposed to. I hope it continues to grow and you get the message across. God Bless :]

    Was she saved?

    • Posted by Nicole on March 15, 2011 at 08:40

      Hi Morgan-
Yes she was! She was raised Christian, and believed in God strongly and frequently wrote to him in prayer-form in her journal. 🙂

exactly, Caribeth. And Nicole, that does NOT make you saved, for the last time! Tons of atheists and pagans are raised Christian.

Also, Satan strongly believe in God. Does that make him saved?

She abandoned Jesus to convert for Judaism for her then husband. Then she killed herself. Neither is getting you into heaven.

I don’t mean to sound disrespectful or mean but no one is saved because their parents are saved. And believing IN God is not the same as believing God. And just because someone prays doesn’t make them a christian. I’m sorry if this offends you but I’m just stating the facts….
