My New Anti-Cosmo Video October Issue!

My new Anti-Cosmo video: I explain the Advertiser letters I’ve gotten back, the response from the Chairman of the FTC, and how this October issue is their biggest mistake, because it mentions porn sites to go to! They dug their own grave with this one- it’s only a matter of time before it’s sold only to adults!

Help with this mission to get it sold in a plastic bag by writing me your Anti Cosmo letter, and explain why you believe it should be sold in a plastic bag. Address it to “Mr. Leibowitz,” and email it to me at hello@projectinspired.com. We WILL get this in a plastic bag!

I don’t read magazines because I don’t have the time to read them, but every time I go to Walmart or Target they always have something about the s word on every magazine.

I think thats awesome what your trying to do girl i really do, I personally hate cosmo, n really Im tryin to further my relationship with Christ at the moment. But its really hard when all u see on magz are all these tiny lil girls an their so called “normal sizes”. I do get jealous.. alot. It really does make me wanna be more like them and be “normal”, so its hard to turn from these things. But all Ima say is.. uhm duh they only care about money and not you. Thats what everythings about, money, n looks. thats just how it is, and as long as cosmo sells, their not gonna change, their making too much money from it. As far as bags, its not like their showing porn on the front cover, their front covers are just like every other magazine, n yeah it does have giant letters with words referring to sex, but its not like their doin anything wrong, it sucks. But thats just how the world is.

So I just joined, I’m 16 and I totally agree with you. I am a christian but being so young and very enexperienced whenever I see a Cosmo with sex tips on it I can’t help but let my mind wander. Once I even ventured so far as to read a little bit of one and I can say that I was thoroughly disgusted. I was at the eye doctor when this happened. I completely support your cause!!!

GOD BLESS YOU NICOLE!!! I agree with everything you said! You are a brave woman who stands up for what is right. You are so inspiring! <3

the fact that ANYONE could read that even just the cover is terrible like a four year old could just read it and thats just terrible

I totally agree with you, I have thought the same thing about this magazine before but hun, you advertised this on facebook as christian. Put a undershirt on, something simple as a little cleavage can be just as bad when a man sees it. God designed men to have urges just like he did women, even good christian men can’t help but look sometimes, so why tempt them? Again I totally agree with you though, keep up the good work!

Nicole, I agree with you, but I think you go a little far with saying what Michelle Obama ‘should’ be doing. What she’s doing now is extremely important and should be greatly admired. We need a lot more people than we have to focus on all the different problems that the world faces, and she’s doing an excellent job taking on one of them, and you’re doing an excellent job taking on another. God bless! :)

Everything is all ways about sex. That’s the way the world is.

everyone who is in their right mind hates cosmo. everything you see in cosmo is sex this sex that sex. you go on the site the first thing you see is sex. cosmo then goes and puts their magazine on the news stand. no.1 pornography is 18+ why would you put “why porn is good for [YOUNG] GIRLS”. so many girls in my school is so loose and cosmo is putting things like that in their magazine and trust me cosmo was always a teen favorite since the 70′s im so glad my mother kept me away from magazines like that and even i stay clear away from the “hookup” section of 17 magazine. 17! the magazine where girls my age and up read it. the only thing is theyre positive like, “hooking up is fun but sex is too far here are tips to tell the guy no” now thats whats needed not “PORNO FOR UNDERAGED GIRLS!SCREW THE RESTRICTIONS ON AGE!” pornography is waaaay too easy to access and honestly its disgusting. i type in what is fracking on google safe search off for a science report for my research paper and all i get is “f*cking hot babes in your area”. disgusting! and then guys think women should be this way. the thing is, pornstars are exactly what they are women who just have sex and degrade themselves.

I totally agree with fighting for Cosmo to be sold in a non-clear bag. However, I think there is a much bigger battle here that you could be fighting for. Why aren’t we helping those already affected? There should be something for the girls who have already made mistakes such as: having sex, watching porn etc. These girls are still loved by god and should be loved and accepted by other Christians. I see so many strongly christian girls who look down on these girls instead of helping them rise up and follow the Lord. I know an amazing girl who after 3 years of “Hooking up” came to Christ and became an AMAZING Christian. Sex isn’t evil it’s a gift that should only be expressed after marriage.

This magazine stole my innocence. I didn’t know what porn was until I saw this magazine.

  14. Project Inspired Member

Why just a plastic bag? It should be put out of business entirely.

I reallly like this video Nicole. I agree with you! I hate going to the grocery stores and seeing this magazine in the chek out lines. My younger sisters could easily read that! I don’t want them growning up thinking sex and porn is okay!

It’s just unacceptable how they put that stuff in HUGE font on the cover of their magazine so that anyone, even children, can be able to read it. And the stuff they’re promoting, like watching porn and public sex…just horrible.

I do not believe that the cosmo is harmful at all. ive been reading it since i was like 12 because i have two older sisters. i am proud to say i am 20 years old and still a virgin. the cosmo has never affected that in any way. The magazine, if anything, has helped me. There was an issue i remember that featured multiple stories about virgins and how it is okay to not have sex. It gives women the confidence to explore their sexuality the way that they choose. I was like 9 and ten when my sisters first started buying these and at that age i never wanted to read the sexual tips or stories so i just read the info about what celeb was on the cover or the fashion tips. It doesnt make young girls want to have sex. And if parents are letting their 9 year olds BUY these magazines, they are the ones you should be targeting. Honestly, you should worry about glamour tearing young girls down. i just read an issue where they made fun of Rebecca Black for her song…a 14 year old girl being trashed in a magazine. The cosmo builds sef esteem, wheras glamour and other fashion magazines put girls down and cnstantly make you feel like youre doing something wrong. The “porn” websites mentioned in the cosmo just gives women the same opportunity men have. Girls have just as much right to feel free with their sexuality as men do. You are telling them they are wrong and women should hide who they are and keep their fantasies and curiousness to themselves. That builds up, and thats when you get young UN-educated girls getting pregnant. The cosmo is very educational and because i have read it so much, i feel confident that when i do decide to have sex, ill be educated on the topic and sure of myself. Thank you for your concern but i really think its misplaced. And you realllly shouldnt judge other people for how they parent their daughters saying that basically hes a bad father because he didnt find your enviornment harming idea a good one. i really hope i dont start seeing the cosmo in PLASIC bags…

wow. putting that magazene in a plastic bag is the LEAST you could do! I think you should speak out against them! i hope you succeed! let me know if i can help!

  19. Project Inspired Member

i think that magazene should be out of buisness, of at least sold where ONLY adults can get it, like in a bar or something so it wont hurt girls. you are really inspireing, so i sighned the petition and am going to write a letter! i want to help as much as a can!

When I visited my friends house she asked me if I wanted to read some magazines. I said fine. In th magazines we mostly looked at the “Who wears it best” and things like that, but the strange part is that 13 year old girls like to read that kind of stuff but you have to flip through sex tips to get to it. It is really dumb.

  21. Project Inspired Member

haha if u notice carefully at 7:18 her cat is on her couch
btw i totally agree w/ u because i know a 7 year old who reads them and its affecting her greatly

  22. Project Inspired Member

i dont read these kinds of magazines or even read magazines at all! but i think this cosmo magazine stuff is very bad, i will try to help in every way, i think this petition is a very good cause :)
